YOUR NEXT DANCE FLOOR

MOVEMENT IS MEMORY, THE DANCE FLOOR IS A PORTAL

MOVEMENT IS MEMORY, THE DANCE FLOOR IS A PORTAL

Feelin’ Feelin’ is a DJ and dance floor residency curated by Ashley Younniä, dedicated to the deep, sweat-soaked pulse of  soulful, classic, deep house music. It is more than a party—it is a ritual of release, a space where ancestral femme power moves through basslines and bodies, honoring the  dance floor and the Black, queer + femmes who have shaped music, culture, and liberation.

Rooted in the legacy and impact  of clubs and parties like Zanzibar, The Shelter, and Soul Summit, “Feelin’ Feelin’” channels the raw sensuality of house music’s golden era—the hypnotic grooves of Tony Humphries, the gospel cries of deep house divas, the pulsing heartbeat of Black music’s underground dance floors. It is a space where Black, lesbian, femme, gay DJs and sonic selectors take center stage, guiding dancers through a journey of power, pleasure, and surrender.

The energy is freeing and charged with the spirit of sweat,  passion, and desire—a space where bodies move beyond inhibition and into something ancestral. Here, rhythm is resistance. Movement is memory. The dance floor is a portal.

Come as you are. Leave it all on the floor. Feelin’ Feelin’ is where you let go, tap in, and surrender to the sound.

Born in New Jersey, Ashley Younniä’s sonic storytelling is deeply rooted in the Black America tradition of house music. While based in Los Angeles, Ashley has made her distinct sound and undeniable presence known in the house and dance scene global by traveling to play in Tokyo, Mexico City, Australia, Korea and her upcoming seven city European Fall tour run. Her deeply soulful DJ sets are known to move her dance floors through the sounds of gospel, RnB, and electronic music as popularized by Black and Brown queer underground club culture.

The soundscapes Ashley has created both on and off the dance floor has led her to work with artists, cultural institutions, and brands that have included Kelela, Lion Babe, Hillman Grad, The Broad Art Museum, and The Whitney Museum of American Art

More recently, Ashley’s definitive sound and groove has soundtracked the growth of queer-led LA house music parties like Shaun Ross’ Stardust, TheyHouseLA, and her viral appearances on Black House Radio which launched the platform into a YouTube sensation as featured in the Los Angeles Times. Her own curation and party Feelin’ Feelin’ is set to be this year's most anticipated house music offering.

Experiencing one of Ashley Younniä’s sonic curations is like being dropped into a full length power ballad love song at a BPM that will invite your body into movement and deeper connection with yourself and the people around you. She plays to the nostalgia of old school house heads while bringing a fresh contemporary take to the genre that invites new audiences to fall in love with house music for the very first time. Follow her journey and stay tuned.
